Traders and motorist escaped death after a truck crashed into an electric pole near popular shops in Ado Ekiti.
The truck conveying plywood for a company from Ado-Ekiti to Lagos State crashed on the 30th of May 2025 at in Oke Oriomi Area of Ado Ekiti
The incident occurred while the truck was trying to navigate a bend leading around Oke Oriomi, close to the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Severce, old office.
Though no casualty was recorded, many traders and motorists coming behind the vehicle scampered for safety.
In an interview, the driver, Alhmed Mahu, blamed the incident on a fault with the breaking operating system.
According to him, “The vehicle was in good shape when we left the site this morning only to encounter this unforeseen circumstance.”
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity explained that incidents of such nature were mostly caused by poor maintenance culture but he thanked God that no casualty.
Asking what had been done about the situation, Ahmed Musa said that he had alerted the company, and the technical team was on their way to take care of the situation.
