Born on December 9, 1947, in Ikole Ekiti, Professor Oyebode’s journey began in the educational stronghold of Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, where he completed both his Secondary and Higher School Certificate education.
His thirst for legal knowledge propelled him abroad in 1967 when he received a Federal Government scholarship to study international law at Kiev State University, Ukraine. Graduating with an LL.M. degree with highest distinction in 1973, he returned to Nigeria to join the University of Lagos as an Assistant Lecturer. His academic pursuits, however, were far from over.
