EKSU VC, AYODELE CONDOLES WITH CHANCELLOR OLOWOLAFE OVER WIFE’S DEATH

EKSU VC Prof Ayodele Condoles with Chancellor Dr Tunji Olowolafe on the Passing of His Wife, Mrs Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe.

She died on March 11, aged 63.

The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, Professor Babatola Ayodele has expressed deep condolences to the Chancellor of the university, Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, over the death of his wife, Mrs Gbemisola Olutayo Olowolafe.

In a statement signed by Bode Olofinmuagun, anipr, Deputy Registrar, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Professor Ayodele prayed for the repose of her soul, while encouraging Dr. Olowolafe to take solace in the fact that her demise is the will of God.

The Vice Chancellor, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students, expressed regret that Mrs Olowolafe died at a time her services were much needed by her family and EKSU community. He noted further that her death has created a big vacuum that would be difficult to fill for a long time.

He described the deceased as a strong pillar to the Olowolafe dynasty and prayed further that the Almighty God would console and comfort the husband, children and grandchildren left behind.

Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has also reacted to the demise of Olowolafe’s wife, described her as a woman who lived a life of compassion, charity and unwavering support for her family and all who were fortunate to have come in direct contact with her.

Tinubu, in a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, his Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), encouraged Dr. Olowolafe and his family to trust God’s divine comfort and eternal promise to mournful people.

“Death is a fate that will ultimately befall every individual. But for the people of faith, we are reminded that God will not abandon any of us when we close our eyes in perpetuity.

“May your lovely wife be ushered into the realm of eternal light, where darkness is forever banished,” the President says.

Tinubu also prayed for God’s grace and perfect peace on the Olowolafe family and for the peaceful repose of the departed’s soul.
