A lecturer from the College of Medicine, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Dr Abidemi Omonisi has emerged the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS). Dr Omonisi emerged at the election of the society held in Abuja recently.
The Society, which the voice for Cancer prevention and control in Nigeria, serves as the umbrella body of all Cancer Advocates, Cancer Researchers, Cancer Survivors and all Civil Societies with focus on Cancer in Nigeria and overseas.
Dr Omonisi who is now the new NCS Boss, was also, recently conferred with the Fellowship Award of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (FPSN) at the just concluded 97th Annual National Conference of the Society, held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Professor Joseph Babatola Ayodele was delighted at the news of Dr Omonisi’s emergence as the President of such a reputable professional organization. While congratulating him for the achievement of this feat, the Vice Chancellor commended him for doing the University proud by his excellent performance at his professional level.
