Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has provided snacks for the officers deployed to monitor Ondo State off season election slated for Saturday 16th November 2024.
Addressing the officers at the parade ground, Commandant Oluwaseun Paul Sosina PhD fsi advised the officers to work in consonance with Electoral Act as well as the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in every step taken by them before, during and after the election.
Sosina who was of the opinion that the need to safeguard Independent National Electoral Commission’s properties became important to give credibility and acceptability to the election, aroused officers consciousness to the protection of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure especially electoral materials during the election.
Bread, Water, butter and other snacks were provided to sustain the officers during their movement to Ondo State, their different polling units and other electoral points in the state with standby by buses that will drop each officers at their different duty post.
Commandant Sosina urged them to be good ambassadors of Ekiti State Command, Civil Defence and Nigeria with a call to all of them to cooperate with other players in the election security with adequate security for electorate, electoral materials, observers, journalists and Youth Corps members who will be participating before, during and after the election.
