Abiodun Borisade is currently the Senior Special Assistant New Media to the Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and here is all you need to know about him.

Information technology and scientific analytic tools expert with years of experience as a lecturer in the United Kingdom, Abiodun Borisade is an ardent believer in transparent governance.

Skilled in the usage of social media and online publishing tools, he was the Special Assistant New Media to the Ekiti state Governor from 2019 to 2022.

In the year 1997, he completed his BSc Chemistry (Hons.) from the Ondo State University Ado-Ekiti (Now Ekiti State University EKSU).

From 1998 to the year 2000, he worked as a Bank Officer at Omega Bank Plc. (Now spring Bank Plc.), where he helped the branch’s marketing department to identify prospective customers, while also attending to walk-in customers in account opening department.

In the year 2001, he was Science technician at City and Islington College, in the United Kingdom. He also provided effective and efficient support as a Senior Technician at The College of North East London, UK from February to December 2002.

Abiodun Borisade built a strong interest in Environmental Manage, and in the year 2002, he completed MA Sustainable Environmental Management from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.

Taking up a career in the academics, he completed the Qualified Teacher Status Skills Test in ICT, Numeracy & Literacy at the Initial Teacher Training Agency UK in the year 2003.

The administrative and academic expert completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Further, Higher & Adult Education (PGCE) at the University of Bolton, UK in the year 2006.

He worked as a lecturer in Science & Chemistry at Hopwood Hall College, Manchester UK, from the year 2004 to 2008, with a stint at Peers School, Littlemore Oxford UK in the year 2008.

Abiodun Borisade has over the years proven the ability to work in unison with staff, team members, and senior management teams, having acted in the role of Chief Technology Officer of Elise Integrated Consult Nig. Ltd since the year 2014.

During his time as the Technical Assistant (Projects) Job Creation & Employment Agency to the Government of Ekiti State, within 2011 and 2014, he served as the Project Assistant Coordinator (Arable Crop Production/Processing) for Ekiti State Government “Youths in Commercial Agriculture Development” programme.

The objectives of the YCAD programme included to accelerate the process of agricultural commercialisation in Ekiti State and to assist create employment opportunities for youth; empower potential youth entrepreneurs by promoting high value crops (HVC) production, processing and marketing under a holistic value development agenda.
Some of his relevant experiences and accomplishments over the years include;

• “Start Your Business” training organized by the State Government, conducted and facilitated by International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ITC-ILO) Turin Italy in July and August of year 2012. The focus of the training was to equip the participants with perquisite business knowledge that will enhance their business start up and management.

• Co-author and Driver of a World Bank/Ekiti State Government “Social Safety Net” initiative platform based on volunteerism concept.

• Modernization/computerization of school record system virtue of my post as vice principal academic and administration.

• Standardization & presentation of results for Oxford Cambridge & RSA examination UK representing Hopwood Hall College.

• Departmental report to School Governors for Hopwood Hall College UK.
