Akinnodi Ayodeji, also known as “Ejanla,” takes on incumbent governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa in this exciting polls.
Other contenders include Ogunfeyimi Kolawole (Allied Peoples Movement), Fadoju Babatunde (Action People’s Party), and Francis Alli (Peoples Redemption Party), among others.
Ondo State has 2,053,061 million registered voters, but only 1,757,205 million of them collected their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to vote in today’s election.
The state, located in the South-west region of Nigeria, is divided into 18 local government areas, 203 electoral wards and 3,933 polling units.

Ondo election: Alleged vote-buyer arrested with bags of money
Officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested a suspected vote-buyer during the Ondo governorship election. The suspect was apprehended with two bags of money believed to be intended for bribing voters.
The arrest took place at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, outside St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure, Ondo State, around 9 am on election day. The DSS has not yet disclosed further details about the suspect or the ongoing investigation.
Thugs Disrupt Election, Assault POs
Political thugs have disrupted voting at the Unit 19 Ogbagi, Akoko, Ondo State and assaulted presiding officers at the ongoing Ondo Gov election.
In a video seen online, one of the presiding officers claimed that the thugs stormed the polling unit, scattered election materials and carted their phones while leaving.
