Chief Monisade Afuye was born in Ikere Ekiti in the fifties into a royal family of late Prince Noah Afeni Adegboye and Queen Esther Adegboye.
She has been picked as the running mate of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, in the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti state.
Her selection by the ruling All Progressive Congress, has been seen as a strategic one, as she hails from the southern region of Ekiti.
