Apostle Johnson Suleman Biography and life history

It might surprise you to learn that Apostle Suleman’s father, Imoudu Sule, is a well-known businessman and the current APC leader in Auchi, Edo State. Imoudu, unlike his son, confesses Islam.

After the birth of this man of God there was a prophecy that he was going to become a pastor though this angered his parents who were Muslims and wanted their son to grow in the Islamic way.

Apostle Johnson Suleman’s parents refused to continue listening to the prophets since they were Muslims and couldn’t fathom their son being a Christian, let alone being God’s ministry. As the little Apostle Johnson Suleman grew, his parents noticed that he behaved strangely.

His parents observed him very closely and it wasn’t long until they discovered that he was very dedicated to the Christian religion and at this point his parents began to come to terms with their son possibly being dedicated from birth to serve God as prophesied at his birth. As a good child though, the young Johnson Suleman kept going to the mosque with his father, even when he knew what his destiny would become.

Apostle Suleman had both his primary and secondary education in Auchi, Edo State, Nigeria. He also attended the University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. He holds a Doctorate degree in Human Resource Development and has written several best selling books.

Prior to 2004, Apostle Johnson Suleman had a series of vision where the background of Omega Fire Ministries appeared to him.

On June 20, 1994, he saw a revelation in which he saw an image of the world being delivered to him, with the biblical inscription Acts 10:38 written on it. Before this, Apostle Johnson Suleman had read the entire Bible three times due to his insatiable need for God.

After this vision, he obeyed God and founded Omega Fire Ministries in 2004. Today, Omega Fire Ministries International is among the top churches in Nigeria with people from far and near worshipping there. He is currently married to Lizzy Suleman and their marriage is blessed with six children (4 girls and 1 boy).

He has had disputes with governors and the Nigerian secret police (DSS) over the years, well known for some social media controversies.

In 2017, Stephanie Otobo, a Canadian musician, accused Apostle Johnson Suleman of dating her in 2015, getting her pregnant, and then abandoning her.

Apostle Johnson Suleman disputed the claims, claiming he had never been involved with Stephanie Otobo. Stephanie Otobo later acknowledged to lying about Apostle Suleman in 2018, after the claims went viral on social media and multiple court suits were filed. She said that influential people persuaded her to ruin his name.

Stephanie Otobo confessed in church that she had been used by influential politicians and pastors to damage Apostle Suleman’s name.

In early 2021, Mike Davids, who claimed to be a former pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, released a video accusing Apostle Suleman of having an affair with his wife and threatening to reveal more about the Stephanie Otobo scandal.

Pastor Suleman responded strongly, saying Mike Davids was trying to blackmail him along with other former pastors from his church. He called Davids ‘evil’ and urged him to repent.

Apostle Suleman’s legal team then filed a N5 billion lawsuit against Davids in the Lagos State High Court, accusing him of “conspiracy to blackmail and defamation of character.”

Mike Davids later changed his story and issued a video apology to Apostle Suleman and his ministry.

Recently, Apostle Suleman retweeted a post claiming that a local media outlet falsely reported he had responded to allegations made by Chioma, a Nigerian actress.

He did this after Chioma Grace Ifemeludike released a video on August 21, 2021, titled ‘This is My Truth.’

In her video, which became popular on Nigerian social media, Chioma said another actress had arranged for her to meet a well-known man of God on November 20, 2016.

The actress accused by Chioma denied the claims, saying she was not involved and threatened legal action against Chioma.

Apart from controversies, Apostle Suleman is also a talented writer. The renowned Nigerian preacher has written over twenty books. Here is a look at some of the most popular ones.
